'TEAM DUBBO' has success at CWDG Championships - Bathurst, 22 & 23 May 2010

Our Orana Equestrian Club, "Team Dubbo" headed off to Bathurst to compete at the Central West Dressage Group Dressage Championships held on 22 & 23 May 2010.  Many a jumper, scarf and glove were packed for these riders, as were the rugs for their steeds, knowing the weather this time of year in Bathurst can turn nasty.  We were, however, blessed with one of the most perfect weekends and very mild weather - a super weekend for CWDG and their hard working comittee.

Two solid days of dressage with some very nice combinations on show, and "Team Dubbo" once again, proved they are a competitive team of riders.  Of note our club members winning championships were:

FEI Champion ‐ Ko‐Olina & Sue‐Ellen Lovett
Official Elementary Champion ‐ Bridgford Spectacular & Dianna Tremain
Reserve Official Novice and Reserve Associate Novice Champion – Pretty Harmony & Simone Pye
Yasmin Crockett and Dresden Riverdance - 3rd in 3B and 6th in 3C
Diana Tremain and Bridgford Speculator - 2nd in 3C and 1st in 3D
Georgina MacInnes & Laverstock Mig - 8th in 3C and 7th in 3D
Sara McCarthy and Lords Cracker - 6th in 3D
Diana Tremain and Bridgford Fluff - 3rd in 5A and 5B

 'til then, giddy up and the good news is that the shortest day of the year has been and gone (22 June 2010), so it won't be long before we have extra daylight to ride!  YAY! :-)
